Bliss, Tasker (Howard)
(31 dic. 1853, Lewisburg, Pa., EE.UU.–9 nov. 1930, Washington, D.C.).

General estadounidense. Luego de egresar de West Point (1875), ocupó varios cargos militares, entre ellos el de instructor en la misma academia y el de agregado militar en la legación de EE.UU. en Madrid. Durante la guerra hispano-estadounidense fue jefe de estado mayor a las órdenes del gral. James H. Wilson, en Puerto Rico, y más tarde prestó servicios en Filipinas (1905–09). Como jefe del estado mayor del ejército, en 1917 puso al ejército estadounidense en pie de guerra para la primera guerra mundial y se opuso a las tentativas de dividir las fuerzas entre los diversos comandos aliados. Fue delegado a la Conferencia de Paz de París y ardiente partidario de la participación estadounidense en la Sociedad de Naciones.
